Window Aircon Servicing

I have been using window aircons since last 5 years. Recently, I shifted to a new fully serviced apartment in Singapore, which was fitted with another window aircon. Initial few days, the machine was working fine, but suddenly, one day, the whole machine started to jerk and make huge noises. I am an avid book reader, reading out till late night. This jerking and sound couldn’t let me read or even sleep well. Although the machine was keeping the room cooling, but the sound was unbearable. Window ACs tend to jerk and make a lot of noise after few months of usage.

I googled and contacted an aircon servicing company in Singapore and called them up to help me out. The aircon specialist came and inspected the problem and suggested a normal wash will solve the problem. He pulled out the machine, the entire lot, compressor, filters, etc. and gave it a thorough wash. What came out was a shock to me. The entire compressor area and filter were covered in lumps of dirt and debris. There was very little passage of air flow. Whatever air passed, was filthy and filled with full of unwanted particles. It is not healthy for me and my family members.
