How I Solved my Aircon Water Leaking Problem

It was a beautiful day in Singapore. I woke up from a great sleep, thanks to my functional air conditioning unit at home. I had this machine for about two years now, and I cannot emphasize enough how it helped me go through the hot and humid nights.

As usual, I came back home after work at 7 in the evening. When I turn on my air conditioning unit for a while, water was dripping out of it and onto the floor. My room has wooden flooring and furnishings, so I do not like the water to drip on them. I panicked because I never encountered this aircon problem before. Seeking for an immediate help, I called an aircon service provider. However, the line was busy when I called, so I decided to check out the problem myself by going through the demonstration in the YouTube.

First, I removed the air conditioner from its place through the window, and placed it on a firm and dry surface. I removed the aircon cover so I could have a closer look on where the problem was. When I looked at the aircon drain tray, I was surprised to find out that dust and dirt had accumulated on the drain tray. I believed that is what you get when living in some busiest places in Singapore. After a few minute of YouTube on how to clean the aircon drain tray, I got some house bleach and carefully poured it into the tray. I let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes, and thoroughly rinsed it off and wash cleaned the drain tray. I dried the tray and placed it back into the aircon unit. I also cleaned some of the interior and exterior parts of the aircon unit using a damp cloth, and put back the aircon cover. I turned back on the aircon unit and see if there is water leaking from it. For a while, there was not a drip.

Just when I triumphant over my effort, the aircon started to leak again around six hours after I turned it on. I was happy to have done some repair job on my own, but I knew I had to seek for some professional help. I called the aircon doctor. They came and fixed the problem promptly. The water leaking issue was gone and I have no worry about my flooring again.
